A story about not only a teacher learning about her student's strengths, but also students' sharing how they like to learn and how that can help guide their learning path!
Some students display varying learning needs, but their way of learning may not be so "different" after all.

For Parents and Teachers:

Previewing:
-  What do you notice about the cover?  The children?
-  Why do you think the children are holding different things?
-  Are there things that you may be likely to hold in the photo?

While reading:
-  What do you notice about the characters?
-  Bring attention to the positions of some of the characters

After reading?
-  How can we fill your pie?  How do you like to learn?
-  What did you learn from the story?
-  How do each of the characters like to learn?
-  Do you still think you would hold the things you mentioned before reading?
