Creative Beginning was inspired by a mother's desire to help her son, Luca, who had fine motor difficulties after his Autism diagnosis. She created a personalized name puzzle with a chalkboard base, which significantly improved his writing skills within four weeks. This success led to the development of a range of educational puzzles to benefit other children with varying learning needs.
Yes, many of Creative Beginning's puzzles (specifically our Chalkboard Name Puzzles) can be personalized with names or images, making them unique and tailored to each child's learning journey.
The puzzles are were designed for young children in early learning stages, such as preschoolers and kindergarteners, to aid in developing foundational literacy and numeracy skills as well as printing of those skills. They have also been used in the Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language as well as Nursing Homes for their versatile effect!
The puzzles were initially created to assist children with fine motor difficulties and have proven effective for various learning needs, including those on the autism spectrum. The combination of indented spaces (no "going out of the lines") and a chalkboard base provides a tactile and visual learning experience that can be particularly beneficial for children requiring specialized educational tools.
